Dingo Software
Dingo is the world leader in providing Predictive Maintenance solutions to asset-intensive industries, currently managing the health of over US$13 billion worth of heavy equipment. It unites deep maintenance expertise with industry-leading technology to help mining, energy, defence, and rail companies implement predictive maintenance programs that deliver real-world results.
By continuously improving the health and performance of equipment, Dingo's solutions drive increased availability, extended component life, and reduced operating costs, with an average 3:1 ROI and typical payback in six months or less. The engine of Dingo's solutions is Trakka®, a powerful predictive maintenance software designed to analyse the full spectrum of condition-monitoring data. Its proprietary predictive analytics and global equipment database provide the insights and decision-support to keep equipment operating in peak condition.
In 2021, ACEMS welcomed Dingo Software as a new Industry Affiliate Member after multiple beneficial engagements and knowledge-transfer opportunities.
Throughout 2021, Dingo Software’s engineering team attended numerous ACEMS events and presented seminars and briefings at the QUT Node. This gave ACEMS students, early-career researchers and established academic researchers the opportunity to meet with data scientists in industry, including senior members of Dingo Software such as Vice-President Stephen Buckman.
In addition to numerous collaborative engagements at seminars and workshops, the relationship was further enhanced by their employees taking up mentoring opportunities with ACEMS CI Kerrie Mengersen and co-locating with ACEMS Members at the QUT Node to work more closely on a day-to-day basis.
Both ACEMS members and Dingo Software are hoping to build on the success of these engagements with new collaborations in 2022. Planning is underway to establish a postdoctoral and PhD position to work on areas such as remaining useful life modelling, machine learning for data quality/integrity, data integration and condition-based monitoring for environmental monitoring and management. Additionally, Dingo Software is interested in growing its domain expertise in new technologies including batteries, with further opportunities for cross-disciplinary research.
Other plans for further collaborative work include an ARC Linkage and Cooperative Research Centres Projects application, and other partnership opportunities with ACEMS members.
