The ACEMS Equity and Diversity Committee aims to ensure that ACEMS is an environment and community where research and people flourish and are given every opportunity to reach their potential. It promotes scientific and ethical integrity, respectful behaviour towards others, and equality of opportunity and treatment for everyone within ACEMS.

The Committee met quarterly during 2021. The meetings focused on the Centre’s climate survey and results, adapting the Centre’s Carers Provision Fund for a hybrid work environment, equity and diversity seminars, and relevant content for the Centre’s legacy website. In January, ACEMS AI Rachael Quill took over as Chair of the Committee from ACEMS CI Aurore Delaigle for the first six months of 2021, and then ACEMS AI Kate Saunders took over as Chair for the final six months of the Centre. The Centre thanks Aurore, Rachael and Kate for their outstanding service and leadership.
